From survivor to a sweetheart

Have you ever met a dog who stole your heart? For me, that dog was Seti.

Long ago, she and her friends Mini Bhai and Tommy would follow me every day on my way to the office, wagging their tails and barking happily. They were a joyful trio, always fluttering around and protecting each other.

I used to give them treats every time I walked by, and soon they started expecting it every time. As time passed, Mini Bhai and Tommy sadly died due to old age and illness.

Seti faced her own challenge when she had an accident, broke her leg, and spent a month in the hospital. When she returned to the street, she was alone.

New dogs had moved into the area and began to dominate her. Seti, being very gentle, couldn’t defend herself.

She started living in an abandoned house to hide from the other dogs. Her joyful bark faded away.

We hoped the dogs would eventually get along, but it became clear that Seti needed someone. One day, a dog named Kali bit her so badly that she fainted.

The locals struggled to chase Kali away and finally managed to save Seti. The locals called me and informed me that Seti was bitten so badly that she fainted.

I rushed to the incident where Seti had fainted. We quickly took Seti to our shelter and treated her.

After that incident, I decided to keep Seti in our shelter as she was not safe and all alone in the streets.

Now, Seti is part of our furry family. After spending ten years on the street, she is now 17 and has become a beautiful golden senior of the shelter.

Because of her past trauma, she didn’t bark for many years. Now, hearing her bark sometimes is something we find beautiful.

She still loves walking in the streets where she lived for the first ten years of her life, remembering all the times she spent with her friends Mini Bhai and Tommy.

Thank you for taking the time to read Seti’s story. I hope it brought a smile to your face.
