I have a question in my mind: “How can we make the world a better place?” For people, animals, and all living beings.
I’d like to share a kind quote by Kahlil Gibran, an American writer and poet: “The smallest act of kindness is worth more than the greatest intention.”
I’d like to discuss the incredible power of kindness with you. Since I was young, I’ve always had a love for dogs.
When I see them in pain, it hurts me too. I used to believe that helping dogs required money.
So, I made earning money my main goal to help the dogs as much as I could. As I grew up, I realized that kindness doesn’t require money.
Some wealthy and powerful individuals may have lots of money, sleep on piles of cash, and drink coffee from gold cups, but they lack kindness in their hearts.
True kindness is simple and free.
All you need is a caring heart. There’s no age limit for kindness. If a one-year-old baby saves a firefly from drowning, that’s an act of kindness.
You can be kind with whatever you have, wherever you are.
What makes a simple act so powerful?
Let me share a few pictures with you. It’s a picture of a dog outside a liquor store.
The store owner provided the dog with clothes, a cozy box to sleep in with a jute bag as a mattress, and some biscuits.
He didn’t do much, but this small act of kindness changed the dog’s life.
A friend of mine installed a water bottle on a pole in his area so that street dogs can drink clean water during the scorching hot summer.
It didn’t cost him any money at all.
Many people who follow Oxsa Nepal feed their community dogs every day with whatever they have, whether it’s biscuits, rice, or meat.
It barely costs them 20 to 30 rupees every day.
All these acts are simple, easy, and free, and they don’t cost us a fortune. We just need to open our hearts and let kindness flow freely.
Do whatever you can, no matter how big or small. Don’t let time, age, or money stop you from being kind.
Even the smallest act of kindness can make a big difference in someone’s life.
When will you make your move?
Now is the perfect time to begin. Remember, kindness is powerful and simple. It’s about caring for others and taking action, no matter how small.
Imagine the impact we can make if we all choose to be kind.
Whether it’s helping a stray dog, offering a smile to a stranger, or lending a hand to someone in need, these acts ripple outwards and make the world a better place.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Let’s all spread a little more kindness every day and see the incredible impact it can have.
