Meet Sam, a charming young dog in our shelter. Though he and his brother Dony don’t always get along during the day, avoiding each other at all costs, they share a surprising bond by sleeping together every night. 

Their daytime rivalry turns into nighttime friendship, making their relationship amusing and unique.

How We Found Sam

On a dark, quiet night in December 2017, at around 3 AM, we were woken by the sound of puppies barking. Concerned, we investigated and found four tiny puppies near a tube well, shivering in the cold and soaked in drainage water. 

One of them was Sam, just two weeks old. As Sam grew, we aimed to find him a loving home. However, he contracted Parvo, delaying his adoption. 

At two months old, he recovered, but finding him a home was challenging. Most adopters wanted tiny pets or guard dogs, not family members. We couldn’t bear the thought of Sam being chained in small cages, which would be worse than living on the streets.

Time passed, and Sam was never adopted. Instead, he became a cherished part of our shelter. Now pampered by everyone, Sam still thinks of himself as a baby, bringing joy and love to our days.
