Meet Seru, a long-legged, beautiful boy who enjoys peace and prefers to be undisturbed. Adorable and loving when shown affection, Seru becomes upset if treated rudely. 

He asserts his independence fiercely, living here on his own terms. His ability to leap over 6-foot fences demonstrates his autonomy—he comes and goes as he pleases, truly the king of his own life.

How We Found Seru

Eight years ago, Seru and his sibling Lucy were born in a bush on the plain land behind a house. We took it upon ourselves to care for them, providing a small box house and food for them and their mother. Despite our efforts, street life was hard for them.

At just four weeks old, during the cold month of December, Seru managed to find his way to our shelter. He realized the hardships of street life and sought the comfort and safety of a home. 

Although his bond with his mother was strong, Seru chose to leave the streets and his mother behind for a better life. His mother was sad for a few days but found joy in Seru’s happiness and his daily visits.
