About us
Our Story
Oxsa Nepal is named after the dog who changed how one family saw every animal that needed care.
The Dog Who Started It All
Oxsa Nepal began with one very special dog named Oxsa.
Oxsa, a German Shepherd, joined the family in 2006. When she died in 2013, the loss strengthened a desire to honour her through compassion for other animals.
Following the 2015 earthquake, the family garage became a shelter. The work later reached a wider audience through a Herne Katha feature in 2019, and Oxsa Nepal was officially registered as a nonprofit in 2020.
